- What are some common sign’s of having a virus?A few of the sign’s to look for when you believe you have a virus are, your computer slowing down, it rebooting, internet connectivity problems and lack of hard drive space due to strange files.
- What is a firewall? And do I need one?YES, you do need some type of firewall. A firewall is a device or software package that acts as a barrier between your computer and the internet. The firewall will allow and deny connections to your computer and personal files depending on settings.
- I bought a wireless router, how safe is my data? Out of the box wireless routers are not safe at all. There are security settings that need to be set to deter unwanted intruders and to keep your data out of the wrong hands.
- What is the best position for the monitor at my workstation? If you perform more than a few minutes of keyboarding a day, the keyboard and monitor should be placed directly in front of your normal sitting position. The screen should be 18-30 inches from your eyes, or about an arm’s length.
